研究要旨
バナナツヤオサゾウムシ Odoiporus longicollis (Olivier, 1807)は，バナナの害虫として知られており，成虫および幼虫共にバナナの茎（偽茎）の内部に生息し，食害する重要種である。インドや東南アジアなどの温暖な地域に広く分布しており，日本へは 1960 年代に輸入したバナナの苗から侵入したとされている（cf. Kojima 2022）。本種の分布北限は鹿児島県鹿児島市から宮崎県日南市（南郷大島）とされていたが（中峯・小島 2024），今回，さらに北に位置する熊本県水俣市において本種の生息を確認したので報告する。

First record of banana stem weevil, Odoiporus longicollis (Olivier) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Dryophthorinae), from Minamata City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan
Abstract
The banana stem weevil, Odoiporus longicollis (Olivier, 1807) is known as a notorious agricultural pest injurious to cultivated banana, and both adults and larvae of this weevil inhabit and feed on the inside of banana stems (false stems). It is widely distributed in the Oriental Region, from India to Southeast Asia, and is assumed to have been introduced to Okinawa, Japan, with banana nursery stocks in the 1960s. The northernmost habitats of this species have hitherto been regarded as Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture and Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture (31°N). We recently confirmed occurrence of this harmful weevil in Minamata City, Kumamoto Prefecture (32°N), updating the northernmost record.
